Quality Assurance Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join a customer-facing Agile environment in North Dublin on a 12-month contract. This role emphasizes leadership in quality management rather than automation architecture or senior SDET responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong quality ownership skills, decision-making capabilities, and stakeholder engagement experience, alongside solid technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts for Agile Scrum teams, ensuring comprehensive ownership of quality throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle.
• Make informed release recommendations by balancing schedule constraints with quality risks.
• Manage relationships and communications with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Developers, and Business Units effectively.
• Develop and define QA strategies including test planning, quality metrics, defect management, release preparedness, and quality governance.
• Maintain hands-on expertise in test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, API Automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AI-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to enhance daily QA activities.

AI Integration in QA

Applicants should demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI technologies to advance QA efficiency. Examples include:

• Automated test generation
• Defect pattern analysis
• Enhancements to automation scripts
• Documentation support
• Boosting overall productivity
• Supporting and refining QA processes

Experience in developing AI agents or frameworks is advantageous, as the team is focusing on innovative AI-driven QA initiatives.
