Overview
A consulting company is recruiting experienced QA/QC Engineers for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines to contribute to a major project in Qatar. The role is centered on construction quality assurance, inspections, compliance tracking, non-conformance management, and closeout of outstanding quality items.
The assignment is based in Qatar on a 6-month contract that may be extended up to 1 year. Immediate availability is preferred.
QA/QC Engineer – Civil
This position is for a Civil QA/QC Engineer who will handle quality control for civil and structural works, with strong emphasis on identifying unresolved quality issues and driving them to closure during project closeout.
Civil Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections for civil and structural activities and prepare detailed site inspection reports.
- Log, monitor, and close non-conformance reports.
- Check that project quality plans, specifications, and relevant standards and codes are being followed.
- Handle QCDD approval workflows and submissions for civil scope.
- Create, refresh, and manage QA/QC dashboards for reporting to management.
- Identify open quality issues, define corrective actions, and build a structured plan to resolve and clear them within set timelines.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams to speed up resolution of quality concerns.
- Support internal and external audits as well as quality assessments.
- Keep quality records and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Share regular quality performance updates with project management.
Civil Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- At least 8 years of QA/QC experience in civil or infrastructure construction projects.
- Practical knowledge of QCDD approval procedures for civil works.
- Proven experience in backlog review, punch list control, and closeout of pending quality items.
- Working knowledge of NCR handling, site inspections, and quality dashboards.
- Familiarity with international civil and structural codes and standards.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- Currently residing in Qatar, with a transferable visa and NOC from the current employer.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication ability.
- Immediate joining is preferred.
QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical
This opening is for a Mechanical QA/QC Engineer who will oversee quality assurance across mechanical installations and equipment, with a focus on clearing open quality items and supporting successful project closeout.
Mechanical Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical works such as piping, HVAC, and equipment installation, and prepare detailed site inspection reports.
- Raise, track, and close NCRs.
- Ensure compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and standards such as ASME, API, and NFPA.
- Manage QCDD approval procedures and submissions for mechanical systems.
- Develop, maintain, and update QA/QC dashboards for reporting.
- Identify pending quality items, determine the required actions, and prepare a structured closure plan within defined deadlines.
- Witness and confirm pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Work with site teams, contractors, and consultants to close quality issues promptly.
- Assist with internal and external audits and quality reviews.
- Maintain complete and accurate quality records and documentation.
- Submit regular quality performance reports to project management.
Mechanical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience in mechanical construction or infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on familiarity with QCDD approval procedures for mechanical systems.
- Demonstrated ability in backlog identification, punch list management, and closeout of outstanding items.
- Knowledge of ASME, API, ISO, and related mechanical standards and codes.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- Solid command of NCR management, inspections, and QA/QC dashboards.
- Currently based in Qatar with a transferable visa and NOC from the current employer.
- Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.

QA/QC Engineer – Electrical
This role is for an Electrical QA/QC Engineer responsible for quality control of electrical installations and systems, with an emphasis on identifying open items and completing quality closeout work.
Electrical Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical works including MV/LV systems, cable installations, switchgear, transformers, and lighting, then prepare detailed site inspection reports.
- Raise, monitor, and close NCRs.
- Check compliance with project quality plans, specifications, and relevant standards such as IEC, BS, and NFPA 70.
- Handle QCDD approval procedures and submissions for electrical systems.
- Maintain and update QA/QC dashboards for management reporting.
- Identify outstanding quality issues, determine the corrective steps, and create a structured closure plan to resolve them within set timeframes.
- Witness and verify electrical testing, insulation resistance checks, continuity testing, and pre-commissioning work.
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support audits and quality review activities.
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Provide periodic quality performance reports to project management.
Electrical Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 8 years of QA/QC experience in electrical construction or infrastructure projects.
- Practical knowledge of QCDD approval processes for electrical systems.
