Pursuit Lead

About the Role

This position demands handling multiple Requests For Quotation (RFQs) and Requests For Information (RFIs) concurrently, with a strong emphasis on flexibility to support various regions and customer groups across different time zones. The successful candidate will excel in operating within tight deadlines to produce timely quotes and will proactively identify and initiate supplier quote activities early in the process.

Responsibilities and Key Functions

• Manage simultaneous RFQs and RFIs efficiently.
• Coordinate across regions and customer segments with diverse time zones.
• Meet short turnaround times required for quotation submissions.
• Initiate and monitor supplier quote activities promptly.
• Liaise closely with suppliers for optimal part selections.
• Serve as the primary contact for customer and supplier technical discussions, including providing overviews of Driver Information (DI) product lines and hardware/software platforms.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DI products such as Clusters, 2W Clusters, Cockpit domain, Displays, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Be familiar with DI hardware platforms including Infineon micros (Aurix, Traveo II), NXp micros, and Texas Instruments micros.
• Understand DI software architectures, including AUTOSAR, Linux, and QNX.
• Comprehend hardware, display, and software details at a conceptual level along with their implementation aspects.
• Map feature requirements to software architecture effectively.
• Conduct impact analyses and derive effort estimates with minimal technical team assistance for common features.
• Coordinate with various technical teams for new feature development and effort estimation.
• Identify opportunities for design reuse to optimize resources.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of quote documentation, including customer Technical Data Requests (TDRs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), Bills of Lading (BOLs), software development assumptions, and engineering input on effort and costs.
• Document all assumptions and exceptions comprehensively, updating compliance sheets accordingly.
• Possess a general understanding of Functional Safety and Cyber Security aspects, recognizing standard SMs (Safety Mechanisms) on the platform, new SMs, and cybersecurity implications on software development.
• Identify risks related to hardware platform decisions that may impact overall system performance.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience within the automotive software domain.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with relevant products such as Cluster, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), Central Display Console (CDC), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Displays.
• Experience in embedded software development along with familiarity with Agile and ASPICE processes.
