Purchasing Manager - FMCG Food MNC

Role overview

What you will lead

• Own the full purchasing and procurement function from end to end.
• Handle relationships and commercial negotiations with overseas suppliers.
• Plan procurement for both fresh/perishable and non-perishable product lines.
• Improve demand forecasting, stock optimisation, and continuity of supply.
• Work in close coordination with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, QA, and Finance teams.
• Manage import coordination, regulatory compliance, and cold-chain processes.
• Guide the purchasing team and refine operational workflows.

Ideal background

• Prior experience in FMCG, food distribution, specialty food products, or perishables.
• Proven leadership in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Hands-on experience dealing with international suppliers and sourcing.
• Working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, and ERP tools.
• Understanding of import procedures, customs processes, and food compliance requirements.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving operational environment.
