Job description
Role Overview
The Public Relations Officer will handle government-related affairs efficiently by maintaining close coordination with government and semi-government regulatory bodies. Frequent updates must be provided to the Lead of Government Relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely organization and renewal of company licenses.
- Oversee employment visas, residency permits, labor cards, and their renewals.
- Act as liaison between the company and various government departments and authorities.
- Manage license and documentation renewals across all seven emirates in the UAE.
- Ensure adherence to UAE labour and immigration regulations.
- Submit official documents to and retrieve them from government offices and typing centers.
- Prepare and submit accurate paperwork for acquiring new licenses as necessary.
- Assist with visiting visa procedures.
- Represent the company at key official locations including police stations, airports, embassies, ministries, municipalities, and other important departments.
- Coordinate with HR and accounts teams along with government agencies for visa processing, cancellations, and employee-related formalities.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with the Ministry and other government offices.
- Provide assistance to the administration department when required.
- Offer internal stakeholders support and advice on policies and official procedures of government and semi-government entities.
- Continuously update the Lead – Government Relations regarding ongoing activities.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse, multinational workplace.
- Proficient with IT tools, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Extensive understanding of UAE labour laws, visa processes, and relevant government portals.
- Must hold a valid UAE driving licence.
