Role Overview
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) specializing in Government Relations is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi. The incumbent is responsible for managing all government-related procedures and documentation involving authorities such as Abu Dhabi Municipality, TAQA, ADCD, Etisalat, among others. They maintain ongoing communication with government bodies and public sector stakeholders to ensure submissions are timely and compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update official records and documentation related to government processes.
- Coordinate internally across departments to gather necessary information for applications and approvals.
- Follow up persistently on government submissions, addressing any issues influencing business operations.
- Monitor updates or amendments in governmental laws and procedures to advise management accordingly.
- Foster and maintain positive working relations with government officials and agencies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience in government relations or related liaison positions, ideally within construction or contracting.
- Hands-on knowledge of Abu Dhabi Municipality, TAQA, ADCD, Etisalat processes, and documentation standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with government officials and internal teams.
- Analytical skills to interpret regulations and ensure compliance while solving related issues efficiently.
- Understanding of UAE public sector protocols, labor laws, immigration rules, and licensing requirements.
- Proficiency with office software and document management systems.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills considered an asset.
- Currently residing in the UAE with a valid driving license.
