Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager to join Xsolla’s Global Marketing team, focusing on the MENA region. This role demands significant involvement in planning, executing, and evaluating PR and media relations campaigns that enhance the company’s image across employees, prospects, clients, partners, and key industry figures within this dynamic geographic area. Ideal candidates combine strong writing skills, technological understanding, and a background in gaming technology, fintech, and online forums. We prize individuals who collaborate effectively, engage proactively, and contribute innovative ideas.

Working remotely within the MENA region or from our Cyprus office, you will implement communication strategies in line with regional needs while reporting to the Vice President of Global Public Relations.

Company Background

Xsolla is a worldwide commerce enterprise offering comprehensive tools and services designed to resolve prominent challenges in the video game industry. Headquartered in Los Angeles, it has empowered over 1,500 developers—from independent studios to AAA companies—to finance, market, distribute, and monetize games globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier and local media outlets and partners across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Egypt, and broader MENA.
  • Participate in the development of marketing communications strategies including setting objectives, budgeting, and tactical execution.
  • Formulate targeted media relations plans to secure influential placements across print, broadcast, and digital channels in both English and Arabic.
  • Coordinate public relations activities such as event logistics and secure speaking engagements at pivotal gaming, fintech, and web3 regional events.
  • Work closely with the integrated marketing manager to produce culturally aware, engaging content for diverse media platforms.
  • Leverage and expand media networks within the game, technology, and business sectors of MENA.
  • Handle media queries and interview arrangements promptly and professionally.
  • Create compelling press releases, bylined articles, and presentation materials.
  • Assess and pursue new opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising in the fast-evolving gaming and entertainment industries of the region.
  • Establish contacts with thought leaders, governmental innovation organizations, and other key stakeholders to raise industry profile.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry trends and recommend adjustments to communication approaches accordingly.
  • Develop thought leadership content and maintain an editorial idea repository consistent with regional marketing strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related fields.
  • 6 to 8 years’ comprehensive experience in crafting and implementing PR campaigns at local and international levels, with significant exposure to the MENA market.
  • Established networks within local and international business and industry media across MENA; influencer and content creator connections a plus.
  • Outstanding writing and editing abilities across various formats, including branded content and advertising copy.
  • Hands-on experience organizing and executing PR events, especially in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Expertise in crisis communication management.
  • Prior direct involvement in the video game industry is mandatory; fintech experience is advantageous.
  • Capability in adapting communications for Arabic-speaking markets with an appreciation of regional cultural nuances.

Additional Competencies

  • Self-driven and capable of independent work across different time zones within a globally distributed team.
  • Demonstrated success in managing corporate reputation and launching multiple products positively across varied MENA markets.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Proven effectiveness in cross-functional teamwork and collaboration with external vendors.
  • Understanding the wide skill set essential for cultivating partnerships with customers, government bodies, and gaming ecosystem participants in the region.
  • Knowledge of local data privacy laws including UAE and Saudi Arabia regulations is crucial.
  • Fluent English required; proficiency in Arabic and/or Hebrew highly favored; additional European or regional languages viewed as beneficial.

Benefits

We offer a supportive culture focused on employees’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Benefits include unlimited flexible time off, personalized career development plans, and continuous professional training to ensure our team’s growth and success. We promote creativity, teamwork, and the joy of gaming as central to our workplace community.

Additional Information
