With plans to broaden media visibility and reinforce its reputation, the company is looking for a driven Public Relations Intern to help with communications and brand awareness efforts.

Role Summary

This fully remote internship is suited to a student or recent graduate who wants to build experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or journalism. In this role, you will contribute to media outreach, track brand mentions, support press material preparation, and assist with communications activities that strengthen awareness and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find and research suitable media outlets, journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers, and trade publications for outreach.
  • Keep media contact records current, structured, and accurate.
  • Help prepare press releases, media notices, company announcements, and related communication documents.
  • Track media mentions, coverage, and sector news, then compile regular summaries and reports for internal teams.
  • Support creation of press kits, brand fact sheets, executive bios, and other media-facing resources.
  • Organize incoming media questions and ensure follow-up happens promptly.
  • Study competitors and market developments to spot trends, media opportunities, and partnership possibilities.
  • Work with marketing, social media, and creative teams to keep brand messaging aligned across channels.
  • Assist in evaluating PR campaign results through media monitoring and analytics tools.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a similar field.
  • Strong writing ability with a focus on polished, accurate, professional content.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Comfort with online research and the ability to turn findings into clear summaries.
  • Awareness of social media platforms and current digital communication trends.
  • Ability to handle several tasks and deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
  • Professional conduct and strong communication skills when interacting with others.

Compensation

The role pays $25 per hour.
