About the Project
NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project focused on communication outreach and engagement regarding EU policies across North Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf region. To support this initiative, NTU International plans to create a roster of qualified Senior and Junior Non-Key Experts who will be mobilized on an as-needed, short-term basis during the 36-month project duration.
Role Overview
The main goal of this role is to offer strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA. This support focuses on planning, developing, and executing daily communication activities to enhance the visibility, outreach, and overall impact of the European Union's policies, initiatives, and partnerships in the specified regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement public relations and media outreach strategies.
- Plan, negotiate, and oversee media buying and advertising campaigns across both traditional and digital platforms.
- Establish and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and communication partners.
- Assist in preparing and distributing press materials, media kits, and promotional content.
- Coordinate PR campaigns to maximize the visibility and influence of EU policies, initiatives, and events.
- Track media coverage and campaign outcomes, generating analytical reports and recommendations.
- Provide advice on communication opportunities, reputation management, and audience engagement approaches.
- Collaborate closely with communication teams, creative agencies, and external service providers to guarantee consistent campaign execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Public Relations, Communication, or Marketing.
- Fluency in English is required.
- At least 5 years of overall professional experience in PR or advertising.
- A minimum of 3 years specific experience in negotiating media purchases and managing public relations campaigns.
- Previous experience with EU institutions is considered advantageous.
