About the Company
DLH provides health and national security readiness support for federal programs by combining scientific research and development, systems engineering, integration, and digital transformation. The organization supports civilian and military clients with public health expertise, performance evaluation, and health operations, using modern capabilities such as AI, cloud solutions, analytics, modeling, and simulation. With more than 2,400 team members, DLH emphasizes innovation and mission-focused service.
Role Overview
DLH is seeking a Public Health Research Analyst focused on non-data work to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The role sits within CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, specifically the Division of HIV Prevention, where the mission is to reduce HIV infections and HIV-related illness and death. The contract support work is intended to strengthen the nation’s ability to monitor the HIV epidemic through data management, governance, analysis, and dissemination support.
This position is fully remote, though occasional in-person attendance may be needed for meetings, training, or team events. For onboarding and compliance, candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, or Washington, DC, because access to one of those secure offices is necessary for smart card issuance, background checks, and periodic administrative or security-related tasks.

- Contribute to the coordination and day-to-day management of program activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience working with multiple data sources to review data quality, including completeness and accuracy.
- At least 2 years of experience managing or operating a research or demonstration project.
- Working knowledge of public health research budgets and spending.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to manage several priorities at once and adjust to competing demands.
- Ability to obtain a NAC clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in public health research project work.
- Experience conducting systematic reviews.
- Previous work with CDC, HHS, or another federal or state health agency.
- Master’s degree in public health or a related area.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to maintain thorough product documentation.
- Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The listed base pay is $50,000 to $70,000 per year. Actual compensation may differ depending on skills, experience, location, market conditions, and internal equity. Additional pay may include performance-based incentives and program-specific awards. Salary history is not used in compensation decisions where prohibited by law.
DLH offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage, supplemental life insurance with AD&D, short- and long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, legal services, and more. Employees are also eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions. Career development support includes training, access to e-learning resources, certification preparation, and education assistance at accredited institutions.
Equal Opportunity and Hiring Integrity
DLH is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants for employment. Reasonable accommodation is available for individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans who need help applying. The company also states that it is committed to a fair and authentic interview process.
