About the Role

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is currently seeking a part-time Public Health Programme Officer to join their team under a two-year fixed-term contract. This role requires working 2.5 days per week, offering a hybrid working model. The salary ranges from £39,526 to £43,613 annually, prorated to £19,763 - £21,806 based on the part-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Public Health Consultant, Service Leads, and Directors to develop and implement public health initiatives aimed at improving local population health.
  • Support delivery of the Joint Health & Wellbeing Strategy for 2026–2036.
  • Compile data and evidence to produce reports, monitor public health services, and inform the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
  • Coordinate programs and projects focused on enhancing health and well-being and addressing health inequalities within the borough.

Candidate Profile

  • Motivated professionals capable of contributing to diverse public health projects.
  • Effective communicators able to build partnerships across multiple sectors and agencies.
  • Possess a degree or equivalent experience in public health or a related health discipline.
  • Experience in commissioning or managing public health contracts is beneficial but not mandatory.
