About the Role

IPS is hiring a Psychometrist to assist with psychological and neuropsychological testing in both inpatient and outpatient environments in the Augusta area. The position can be full-time, part-time, or PRN, and includes a mix of in-office and remote testing. You will work alongside psychologists to administer, score, and document assessments for patients across trauma, neurology, behavioral health, and general medicine settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and score a range of standardized cognitive and psychological assessments, including WAIS-IV, WISC-V, MMPI-3, MCMI-IV, PAI, TOVA, other computerized tools, and ADOS.
  • Watch patient behavior during testing and note test-taking approaches and responses.
  • Prepare written summaries of test findings and help build integrated psychological reports.
  • Review clinical records and add relevant observations to case formulations.
  • Support diagnostic clarification by applying DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5 criteria under supervision.
  • Coordinate testing schedules and logistics with psychologists and other clinical staff.
  • Enter documentation accurately and promptly into the EHR.
  • Protect test materials and follow HIPAA and ethical standards for psychological testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience in psychological testing or behavioral health is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5 diagnostic frameworks is needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfort using EHR systems and Google Workspace tools.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • PRN applicants must be available for at least one consistent day each week.
