Don Bosco Sachsen is part of the German Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco, operating 23 institutions including four main sites in Burgstädt, Chemnitz, Hartmannsdorf, and Limbach-Oberfrohna. Additional projects cover the districts of Mittelsachsen, Mittlerer Erzgebirgskreis, Nordsachsen, and the city of Leipzig. With approximately 250 staff members, the organization focuses on supporting children, adolescents, and young adults across a broad spectrum of services such as outpatient and residential youth welfare, vocational rehabilitation with residential training facilities, a vocational school, youth centers, and active involvement in school social work and inclusion assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychological counseling and support in individual and group settings, including diagnostics and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising educational and medical professionals.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of internal training programs.
• Employ proficiency in standard computer applications.

Candidate Profile

• Completed degree in Psychology or Rehabilitation Psychology.
• Preferably experience working with rehabilitation clients and additional qualifications in systemic therapy, trauma therapy, or related fields.
• Expertise in performance diagnostics and preparation of psychological assessments.
• Strong motivation, resilience, and enthusiasm for working with young people, including those in challenging life situations.
• Excellent teamwork and cooperation skills along with social and professional competence.
• Alignment with the values and guidelines of the Salesians of Don Bosco and willingness to embody them professionally.
