Role Overview
Aditya Birla Education Trust’s Mpower initiative is seeking a compassionate and proactive Psychologist & Outreach Associate to support helpline-based mental health services in Nagpur. This is an onsite, full-time role focused on counselling assistance, helpline operations, outreach work, content creation, and stakeholder coordination.
Work Setting and Shift Details
The selected candidate will be based at the Nagpur office and should be prepared for rotational shifts, including night shifts. The role follows a 5-day work week with rotational weekly offs.
What the Role Involves
The position calls for strong communication, a client-first mindset, and adaptability to handle helpline interactions and outreach responsibilities. You will help clients with emotional support, participate in care discussions, support awareness initiatives, and contribute to smooth helpline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer psychological support and counselling through helpline calls, live chat, and direct client interactions.
- Work with clients to clarify goals and shape short-term therapeutic as well as developmental plans.
- Take part in multidisciplinary case reviews, discussions, and coordination of client care.
- Keep client records accurate and confidential, including call logs and demographic details.
- Create and support content for workshops, websites, social media, and awareness campaigns.
- Draft articles and coordinate with media teams for mental health awareness initiatives.
- Guide interns and assist them in learning and delivering assigned projects.
- Work with internal stakeholders and the wider medical and mental health community to improve outreach and referral support.
- Provide in-person counselling support to corporate clients when needed.
- Help ensure the helpline, chat platforms, and connected systems run smoothly.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in Psychology is mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and a client-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
- Availability for rotational shifts, including night duties.
- Comfort with a 5-day work schedule and rotational offs.
- Prior exposure to counselling, helpline operations, outreach, or mental health services is preferred.
