Job description

Overview

The position is located in Brandon, Manitoba, requiring on-site presence with no remote work option. Relocation expenses will be covered by the employer. Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Budgetary responsibilities range from $1.5 million to over $8 million.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty leadership to develop registration policies.
  • Recruit and appoint teaching staff and other personnel.
  • Provide advisory support to the university president or rector.
  • Oversee research initiatives and curriculum development through subordinate staff.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee budgets related to projects, programs, support services, and equipment.
  • Encourage and promote activities coordinated by various committees.
  • Recommend and authorize faculty appointments.
  • Suggest revisions and additions to the curriculum and approve course schedules.
  • Administer financial budgets effectively.
  • Lead governance and regulatory compliance within established frameworks.
  • Develop and implement quality management and assurance standards.

Supervision and Leadership

  • Directly oversee a team of approximately 5-10 individuals and manage working groups.
