Prompt Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Prompt Engineer to design, evaluate, and refine prompts that fuel AI-driven products and processes. This role involves close collaboration with AI engineers, product teams, and users to enhance the performance, accuracy, and dependability of applications based on Large Language Models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities

• Craft, develop, and fine-tune prompts for LLMs addressing a variety of applications.
• Create and maintain a library of reusable prompt templates tailored for enterprise use cases.
• Assess AI-generated responses continually to boost prompt effectiveness regarding accuracy, consistency, and safety.
• Partner with AI Engineers to implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agent-based workflows.
• Construct structured prompts incorporating function calling, JSON formatting, and chain-of-thought reasoning when suitable.
• Conduct prompt testing across different LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and open-source alternatives.
• Document best practices in prompt engineering and manage version control for prompts.
• Analyze feedback from users and AI performance data to improve output quality.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends and techniques in Generative AI and prompt engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of LLMs and Generative AI principles.
• Proven experience in composing and refining prompts for AI-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with major LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini.
• Basic proficiency in Python or JavaScript for prompt testing and automation purposes.
• Understanding of RAG and AI Agent concepts is advantageous.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using frameworks and tools like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Promptfoo.
• Knowledge of prompt evaluation methodologies, AI safety practices, and strategies to reduce hallucinations.
• Hands-on experience working with structured outputs, function-based calls, and autonomous AI workflows.
• A portfolio showcasing projects related to prompt engineering, AI experiments, or Generative AI applications.
