Prompt Engineer - Financial Services and Trading

About the Role

We are collaborating with an innovative technology startup based in the UAE, ideally Dubai, seeking a full-time AI / Prompt Engineer. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing AI-powered workflows within their trading and financial services platforms. The ideal candidate will merge expertise in prompt engineering with a solid understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, and daily trader operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and fine-tune sophisticated prompts and AI-driven workflows.
• Create and optimize AI agents using platforms like Claude, Jarvis, and similar tools.
• Translate specific requirements from trading and financial services into actionable AI solutions.
• Design structured workflows tailored for market analysis, research, and trade-related functions.
• Assess AI model outputs for precision, reliability, and commercial relevance.
• Collaborate closely with company founders, traders, developers, and product teams.
• Detect opportunities to automate intricate and repetitive processes.
• Contribute to the creation of internal AI utilities and products for customers.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in prompt engineering, AI workflow design, or AI product development.
• Strong familiarity with Claude and other prominent large language model platforms.
• Experience with AI agents, automation technologies, or multi-step prompt frameworks.
• Well-versed in financial services, capital markets, or trading domains.
• Capability to grasp trading-specific terminology, workflows, and market data.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptable and efficient in the dynamic environment of an early-stage startup.
• Effective communication skills with diverse technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background working in trading firms, hedge funds, fintech, investment companies, or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of asset classes such as equities, foreign exchange, commodities, cryptocurrencies, or derivatives.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities through APIs, databases, or trading platforms.
• Familiarity with Python programming, data analytics, or quantitative research.
• Proven track record of developing AI products from initial concept to full deployment.
