Job Purpose
This role is responsible for delivering assigned sections of high-voltage 765/400 kV transmission line work within planned timelines, cost targets, and quality expectations. The position requires a strong focus on zero-harm principles, regulatory adherence, site discipline, and proactive coordination to keep the project moving efficiently. It also involves stakeholder management, administrative coordination, and building a capable, collaborative team environment to support successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project execution: Plan, track, and coordinate foundation, tower erection, and stringing work so that the transmission line package progresses according to the schedule and quality benchmarks.
Survey and route verification: Review survey inputs and site conditions to confirm tower locations, route alignment, extension requirements, and crossing points such as highways and railways.
Planning and reporting: Prepare L2 schedules, estimate weekly and monthly manpower and material requirements, and submit daily and monthly MIS reports for management review.
Quality control: Apply Field Quality Plans, relevant IS Codes, and CBIP manuals at the site, and validate material and workmanship against approved standards.
Safety and compliance: Implement OHS plans, conduct periodic safety training, and carry out regular inspections to reduce risks and maintain compliance with statutory requirements.
Documentation: Maintain compensation records, landowner agreements, and other administrative paperwork, ensuring approvals are in place to avoid penalties or delays.
ROW and liaison support: Work with government departments and local administration such as Patwari, Tehsildar, and SDM for landowner and right-of-way matters.
Vendor and contractor coordination: Conduct regular meetings with vendors and contractors to address issues early, control additional costs, and keep all parties aligned on objectives.
Permission management: Coordinate with local authorities to obtain shutdowns and other required approvals for timely site execution.
Budget control: Track project spending, manage resources, and compare actual costs with the approved budget.
Bill processing: Check vendor invoices, obtain approvals, and ensure bills are processed accurately and on time.
Risk management: Identify safety and compliance risks early, perform checks, and address site hazards to maintain a zero-harm environment.
Technology adoption: Use project management tools and software for live progress tracking, resource planning, and team coordination, while supporting process improvements through newer methods and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience
A B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering is required.
Candidates should bring 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in executing high-voltage 765/400 kV transmission line projects.
Hands-on ability to handle ROW challenges is important, along with a solid understanding of safety rules, regulatory compliance, statutory approvals, and quality standards for transmission line work.
