Job description

Role Overview

The Project Support Officer will collaborate closely with the Transformation and Innovation team to provide robust administrative and project support. Key responsibilities include managing project coordination to ensure timely and high-quality delivery, and aiding in the development, implementation, and upkeep of internal systems and business processes designed to improve team efficiency.

About the Team

The Transformation and Innovation team focuses on enhancing existing processes and services, driving innovation, and building capabilities across Children's Health Queensland to empower staff in continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive project support that enhances the execution of key initiatives.
  • Assist project officers with creating documentation aligned with organizational strategic goals.
  • Support activities such as process mapping, workshops, stakeholder engagement including consumers and staff interviews, research, data collection and analysis, and reporting.
  • Organize meetings, manage secretariat duties, and maintain action registers.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects within a demanding, complex environment.
  • Maintain high-level communication skills to promote team effectiveness, including managing correspondence.
  • Compose and proofread correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and reports using advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Participate in qualitative and quantitative data analysis using tools like Excel.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support a customer-centric approach.
  • Support document repository maintenance, quality assurance, training, and knowledge management for the team.
  • Coordinate business support functions such as recruitment, payroll, leave management, and office supplies.
  • Encourage a positive team culture focused on performance, leadership development, health, and wellbeing.
  • Engage in practices that uphold employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical standards.
