Job description
Role Overview
TLI Group is recruiting a Project Scheduler to join our Renewables division. The chosen individual will take charge of planning and scheduling multiple projects, ensuring all project timelines align with objectives, contractual obligations, and delivery goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules primarily using Microsoft Project; knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus but not mandatory.
- Lead scheduling efforts across several projects, making certain that programmes meet the agreed-upon objectives and deadlines.
- Track project advancement relative to baseline schedules, detecting variances, patterns, and possible effects on delivery.
- Analyze critical path tasks, float usage, programme logic, and dependencies to facilitate effective execution.
- Detect scheduling risks and delays, collaborating with Project Managers to develop corrective recovery strategies.
- Generate and deliver periodic reports and metrics—including weekly and monthly updates—to project teams, senior management, and clients.
- Organize and lead programme review sessions with stakeholders such as Project Managers, Design and Construction Teams, and clients.
- Manage baseline project programmes, ensuring all authorized changes are documented and controlled properly.
- Work jointly with Project Managers and department leaders to assemble realistic schedules, resource allocations, and delivery plans.
- Monitor milestones and deliverables to guarantee timely achievement and adherence to programme commitments.
- Support tendering and pre-construction phases by preparing schedules, logic diagrams, and programme inputs.
- Assist in developing planning reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Ensure programmes comply with governance standards, contract terms, and company planning guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for programme optimization, sequencing, and planning process improvements.
- Contribute to the growth of the planning team by mentoring junior planners as the department expands.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consistency, efficiency, and best practices within the scheduling function.

Qualifications & Skills
- Third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related fields.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Planning, or Scheduling are advantageous.
- Microsoft Project training or certification is preferred.
- At least 1 to 3 years' experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls roles.
- Deep knowledge of project lifecycle, planning, scheduling principles, and controls.
- Understanding of critical path analysis, programme logic, baseline management, and change control.
- Experience in environments such as construction, utilities, engineering, telecommunications, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Capable of interpreting technical documents and construction methodologies.
- Ability to mentor junior schedulers and drive improvements in planning practices.
- Confident self-starter able to establish programme governance and adapt to evolving processes.
