About the Role
Turnpike India Pvt. Ltd. seeks experienced and proactive Project Managers and Project Engineers to oversee large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. These encompass area grading, site development, earthwork, roads, drainage, RCC, and precast construction. This position demands strong leadership in planning, execution, quality assurance, safety adherence, client liaison, and ensuring timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise site activities including area grading, excavation, cutting, filling, embankment, and compaction.
- Manage comprehensive site development following approved drawings and specifications.
- Oversee road construction (GSB, WMM), storm water drainage, trenches, culverts, RCC structures, and precast installations.
- Monitor workflow to guarantee completion within designated timeframes.
- Develop execution strategies, resource allocation plans, and daily work schedules.
- Coordinate with survey teams using Total Station and Auto Level equipment for layout and benchmark setting.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth execution.
- Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and specifications.
- Carry out compaction, field density, concrete cube tests, and level verifications to uphold quality.
- Administrate machinery including excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, dumpers, water tankers; optimize manpower and equipment use.
- Verify quantities, maintain measurement records, assist billing activities, and prepare RA bills.
- Track BOQ quantities, project progress, and material usage.
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports, weekly summaries, and project updates.
- Enforce Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and statutory requirements.
- Conduct safety meetings such as toolbox talks and promote safe worksite practices.
Required Skills and Competencies
- In-depth understanding of earthwork, area grading, site development, cut and fill calculations.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, compaction techniques, and field testing methods.
- Ability to interpret GFC, structural, and layout drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Experience working with Total Station and Auto Level for site surveying coordination.
- Strong leadership, planning, communication, and team management abilities.
- Capability to manage relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Competencies include project planning and execution, team leadership, client coordination, quantity and billing oversight, quality assurance, safety management, and problem-solving.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Applicants should possess a B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience Requirements
- For Project Engineer roles: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- For Project Manager roles: Minimum 10 to 15+ years in civil project management.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with industrial and infrastructure projects such as NTPC, BALCO, Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, Warehouses, and Industrial Parks.
- Expertise in extensive land development, area grading, and site leveling projects.
- Familiarity with construction of roads, drainage systems, RCC and precast boundary walls, retaining structures, and utility infrastructures.
- Background in executing EPC or turnkey civil projects.
