About the Company

ValGenesis provides a digital validation platform designed for life sciences organizations. Its products are used by 30 of the world’s top 50 pharmaceutical and biotech companies to support digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and stronger manufacturing performance across the product lifecycle.

The company has been helping reshape validation work in life sciences since 2005, when it introduced the first digital validation lifecycle management system. Today, it continues to expand its platform beyond validation with end-to-end digital transformation solutions and consulting support for GxP environments.

Role Overview

ValGenesis is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the rollout, upgrade, and growth of its software solutions for life sciences customers. The position combines delivery management with practical operational work such as business analysis, configuration assistance, user training, and issue handling. The focus is on delivering successful outcomes, keeping projects on schedule and within budget, and ensuring a strong client experience.

Project Delivery and Coordination

  • Create clear and realistic project plans with milestones, timelines, task ownership, and resource allocation.
  • Lead software implementation projects so that commitments are met on time and within approved budgets.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business goals and recommend the product capabilities that best fit their needs.
  • Provide direct support on delivery tasks when needed, including analysis work, configuration help, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Spot delivery risks early and work with internal teams to define and carry out mitigation plans.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities during implementation and pass them to the Product Management team.

Client Management and Team Coordination

  • Maintain productive working relationships with client teams through regular meetings, progress reports, and status updates.
  • Serve as the main contact for the project and ensure communications remain structured, consistent, and timely.
  • Conduct detailed training sessions and transfer system knowledge to client users so they can fully use the solution.
  • Coordinate assigned team members across delivery streams, monitor their progress, and give constructive guidance.

Administration and Quality

  • Make sure project timesheets and tracking metrics are submitted and approved on time.
  • Complete all mandatory quality-system and product training to remain aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidential information and follow security expectations at all times.

Account Growth

  • Look for opportunities to expand client accounts through added services, extra training, system extensions, and new modules.
  • Support revenue and retention goals by maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring smooth project closure and sign-off.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 6 years of dedicated project management experience, ideally with software implementation or technical delivery work.
  • Background in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and organizational discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to build trust with external stakeholders.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools and working familiarity with MS Project or similar project tracking software.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or Business Information Systems.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent credential is preferred.

Work Arrangement and Location

This position is available to remote candidates located in Ireland or to hybrid candidates based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Compensation

The salary range is location-based and determined using market data. For remote employees in Ireland, the annual pay band is €65,000 to €80,000. For hybrid employees in Lisbon, Portugal, the annual pay band is €42,000 to €55,000. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and depth of knowledge.
