About the Company
CaseBuddy is revolutionizing consulting by creating a platform that connects thoroughly vetted consultants with businesses seeking strategic and operational expertise. The marketplace offers flexible, high-paying projects lasting from one week up to six months, enabling companies to tap into high-quality talent without the typical consultancy fees or long-term contracts. Established by former McKinsey and Tesla professionals, CaseBuddy is expanding its pool of expert consultants worldwide.
Role Overview
This contract-based, fully remote position is for Project Managers or PMO Consultants willing to join a selective marketplace. The role involves independently managing multifaceted projects and programs across diverse industries, collaborating remotely with senior team members on complex, multi-stream initiatives. Projects vary in scope and duration, and you select engagements aligned with your skills and interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery from initial scoping through planning, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Establish and operate PMO frameworks for clients lacking existing structures, including governance protocols, Risk-Assumption-Issue-Dependency (RAID) logs, and steering committee schedules.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams such as engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage timelines and deliverables involving third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and enhance CaseBuddy's project management frameworks.
- Select projects based on personal expertise, interests, and availability.
Typical Projects Include
- Coordination of ERP or system rollouts (6 to 8 weeks duration).
- Post-merger integration PMO setup (4 to 6 weeks).
- Management of infrastructure or facilities projects (4 to 8 weeks).
- Vendor transition and cutover execution (3 to 5 weeks).
Qualification Requirements
- Between three and six years of project or program management experience, preferably within engineering, IT, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrable success in delivering projects on schedule and within budget, confirmed through assessments.
- Capability to independently manage project governance without pre-existing PMO frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in stakeholder engagement and effective communication in English; German language skills are an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience within automotive, aerospace, energy, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast-evolving, and ambiguous settings.
