In this role, you will act as a local coordinator for state-level work, supporting teacher adoption, partnership activities, and delivery aligned to education priorities such as NEP 2020.
This opportunity sits at the intersection of education, technology, and large-scale systems change, with a focus on bringing creativity, collaboration, and equity into classrooms.
Where you will work
The role is expected to be based out of the state education department office and support Canva Education initiatives from that location.
About the team
The Canva Education team in India is focused on helping creativity, collaboration, and visual communication become part of classroom learning across the country. The team works with state governments, national education bodies, and large private school groups to expand Canva Education as a safe, inclusive, and effective platform for teaching and learning.
The team combines experience in education policy, teacher training, and edtech implementation while aligning global goals with India’s priorities such as NEP 2020, foundational learning, multilingual learning environments, and digital access. The goal is to support educators and students in every setting, from rural districts to large urban schools.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Canva Education programs with the state government, SCERTs, teacher training institutions, and local NGOs.
- Act as a central contact for on-ground stakeholders such as school leaders, DIETs, CRCs/BRCs, and master trainers.
- Help plan and deliver training sessions for teachers, administrators, and implementation partners.
- Work closely with internal teams across Partnerships, Product, Community, and Data to ensure smooth product rollout and issue resolution.
- Monitor adoption data, capture impact stories, and prepare ground-level updates on program outcomes.
- Coordinate the adaptation of content, resources, and communication so they remain locally relevant in language and culture.
- Spot risks and implementation roadblocks early and share practical mitigation plans.
- Support day-to-day engagement with education departments and assist with reviews, planning discussions, and progress updates.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in the K-12 education sector, particularly with government schools or large-scale programs.
- Prior experience coordinating or delivering edtech programs through NGOs, CSR initiatives, edtech companies, or government partnerships.
- Good understanding of NEP 2020, especially digital learning, foundational learning, and teacher capability building.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Telugu.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and remote team environments.
- Comfort managing several stakeholders and deadlines at the same time.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable with problem-solving.
- Flexible and creative, with the ability to work through ambiguity and keep learning.
- Trusted by others through consistent, ethical, and dependable conduct.
- Resilient, resourceful, and action-oriented.
- Open to feedback and committed to self-improvement.
