About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with extensive expertise in the construction of cross-country pipelines to oversee a major project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal professional will have a background in Mechanical Engineering and at least 13 years of industry experience, particularly in engineering, procurement, and construction phases related to pipelines and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all stages are executed efficiently and within budget.
- Oversee activities including conceptual and detailed design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover of hydrocarbon facilities, pipelines, piping systems, plant process equipment, structural steel fabrication, civil works, electrical and instrumentation, communication systems, and related tasks.
- Maintain a commanding technical presence to effectively lead the project team and supervise subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international codes and standards throughout project execution.
- Conduct thorough scope reviews to schedule deliverables and ensure project milestones are met.
- Foster strong relationships with senior client management and represent the project team in client meetings.
- Guarantee that contract terms and conditions are properly implemented and followed.
- Monitor resource utilization and identify opportunities for optimization throughout the project duration.
- Compile detailed progress reports and highlight any areas requiring attention or intervention.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 13 years of project management experience in cross-country pipeline construction.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction processes for pipeline projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to engage effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Proven familiarity with international standards and codes applicable to hydrocarbon and pipeline projects.
