Overview
Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position seeks a seasoned Project Manager to oversee infrastructure asset management projects including asset registration, condition evaluations, specialized engineering investigations, and strategic asset investment planning. The role demands leadership capabilities, stakeholder engagement expertise, and a solid background in asset management to ensure projects align with industry standards and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide diverse project teams to carry out asset registration and condition assessment across complex infrastructure settings.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and overall success metrics.
- Maintain adherence to established methodologies, execution plans, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage creation, validation, and reconciliation of detailed asset registers, ensuring they conform to recognized asset management standards.
- Facilitate lifecycle strategy development for asset upkeep, renewal, and replacement planning.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and assessment activities involving multiple engineering fields.
- Coordinate with engineering experts to provide thorough assessments and actionable reports.
- Evaluate findings to assist in formulating asset improvement strategies.
- Help prepare and review long-term capital expenditure plans and asset investment strategies.
- Analyze asset data related to performance, risk, and lifecycle needs to guide investment choices.
- Contribute to strategic development of asset management and renewal initiatives.
- Act as the main liaison for clients and stakeholders, leading meetings and technical discussions.
- Supervise project budgets, commercial aspects, subcontractor contracts, and resource allocation.
- Manage specialist subcontractors and technical providers to ensure resource planning meets project demands.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with project goals.
- Supervise collection, validation, and integration of asset data into enterprise systems, ensuring data alignment across physical and operational records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Asset Management, Construction Management, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing projects in sectors such as infrastructure, facilities management, utilities, transportation, or aviation.
- Demonstrated history in asset condition assessment, asset registration, or comprehensive asset management projects.
- Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and technical specialists.
- Certifications such as PMP, IAM Certificate/Diploma, Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA), or other relevant credentials are advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of asset management principles, condition assessment techniques, lifecycle planning, CAPEX planning, enterprise asset management systems, risk-based management, and project controls.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
