Role overview
We are looking for a Remote Onboarding Specialist to support new hires across IT and business services for a major insurance and financial services organization. In this role, you will act as a dependable point of contact to help create a smooth and well-organized start for each new team member.
This is a contract assignment for someone who enjoys delivering strong service, coordinating details across teams, and helping new employees get set up successfully.

What you'll do
- Support a smooth onboarding journey for IT and FBS hires, including hardware, applications, and system access.
- Arrange equipment and software, and manage IDs and entitlements needed for new employees.
- Serve as a primary contact for onboarding-related questions and support requests.
- Coordinate with talent acquisition teams to plan and prepare onboarding requirements in advance.
- Work alongside hiring managers and vendors to ensure new hire support is handled properly.
- Respond to questions that arise after onboarding for both employees and contractors.
- Act quickly to diagnose and resolve access or licensing problems as an initial support contact.
- Maintain onboarding records and create reports in Quickbase.
- Adjust rapidly to changing requests, technology migrations, and application updates.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve governance and strengthen onboarding processes.
What we’re looking for
- Prior experience coordinating onboarding for IT or business services teams.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking abilities.
- Comfort troubleshooting technical issues and helping users with support needs.
- Working knowledge of workflow platforms such as Quickbase.
Preferred background
- Experience handling access management or assisting with migration projects.
- History of working closely with IT, HR, and management stakeholders.
- Exposure to remote onboarding processes.
Additional information
This role is intended for a contractor working 40 hours per week. The assignment may be extended beyond the initial 6-month term depending on business needs.
