Job description
Position Overview
This role involves leading and managing the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring efficient operation in line with best project management practices and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the PMO, ensuring its effective functioning and alignment with company goals.
- Implement project governance frameworks and manage project cadence.
- Collaborate with the Technology PMO to plan and communicate detailed project delivery schedules.
- Monitor project progress against planned milestones weekly, escalating any timeline risks to Country Project Leads and the Program Steering Committee.
- Oversee the project budgets assigned to Business and Supporting Units, ensuring expenditure remains within limits.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates of project financials.
- Coordinate cross-functional project deliverables to ensure autonomous and efficient squad operations.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of key initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders across business and technology units to maintain alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
- Provide regular status updates and follow-up on action items.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, covering requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment phases.
- Review testing strategies and coordinate defect management, bug fixes, re-testing, and closure within project timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience managing IT application projects, with strong knowledge of banking products, especially in Cards, Unsecured Loans, and Payments.
- Capable of collaborating with external vendors and diverse teams.
- Process-oriented with strong advocacy for reporting.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management.
