Job description
Business function
The Group Operations team supports the bank by building an operational environment that is efficient, adaptable, and resilient. Its work focuses on improving productivity, keeping quality and control standards high, using technology effectively, strengthening employee capabilities, and encouraging innovation. The department oversees most of the bank’s operational workflows and partners with business teams across different banking delivery channels.
Role purpose
This position provides end-to-end administrative and project coordination support to the Payment and Settlement Taskforce. The role helps drive initiatives that strengthen controls and improve the handling of manual payment settlement processes. It also supports communication across stakeholders, monitors project milestones, and prepares updates for management to help the taskforce achieve its goals.
Key accountabilities
- Arrange and coordinate important meetings, making sure all relevant stakeholders are informed and ready for productive discussions.
- Monitor action items closely, follow up on deadlines, and highlight possible blockers early so project work stays on track.
- Improve and maintain the project tracker by applying effective practices that give clear, up-to-date visibility of status and milestones.
- Prepare and polish management presentation decks that clearly communicate progress, challenges, and key achievements to senior leaders.
- Support additional ad hoc reviews and tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A university degree and at least 2 years of experience in a project management role within a financial institution.
- Strong organisation skills with careful attention to detail and the ability to handle several tasks at once.
- Comfort using project management tools and presentation software, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to operate well in uncertain or changing situations, with initiative, independence, and a positive can-do mindset.
