Job description
Overview
JAKSON Group is searching for an experienced Project Head to spearhead their Green Hydrogen initiative located in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). This is a full-time, onsite position requiring strategic project planning, oversight, and coordination duties to ensure smooth site execution in close liaison with site managers and field teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead centralized management of project schedules and monitoring using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Create and maintain master project timelines aligned with key delivery milestones including SCOD, connectivity, and regulatory deadlines.
- Monitor progress across multiple sections including engineering, procurement, land acquisition, transmission, and construction.
- Recognize and address schedule delays, interface risks, and dependencies, recommending corrective measures promptly.
- Serve as the central coordinator connecting head office and site teams.
- Supervise fulfillment of contractual commitments as per EPC/OEM agreements.
- Keep track of statuses related to connectivity agreements, generation nodal agency (GNA), charging infrastructure, SCOD, and necessary statutory approvals.
- Generate comprehensive project management dashboards and maintain full documentation for senior leadership.
- Identify cross-departmental risks affecting project delivery and assist with resolving issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with preference given to Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil disciplines.
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in project management or coordination particularly within renewable energy sectors.
- Background in project management office (PMO) or roles emphasizing planning and project coordination is favored.
Core Skills
- Exceptional capabilities in project tracking, coordination, and timely follow-ups.
- Strong grasp of renewable energy project life cycles and execution processes.
- Knowledgeable in CTU/STU connectivity, SCOD-centric scheduling, and EPC contract management.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Exposure to hybrid or utility-scale projects, green hydrogen, or ammonia-linked energy projects.
- Experienced in supporting multiple project portfolios simultaneously.
- Understanding of ISTS, GNA, and transmission system interfaces.
Additional Information
- Reports to the Project Head for Green Hydrogen.
- Travel required to project sites depending on project milestones.
