Work Environment and Duration

The NBA offers eligible staff the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. This role is temporary and expected to last no longer than six months.

The HR department is comprised of experts specializing in HR, Benefits, Compensation, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and other fields.

Role Overview

As an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative recruitment team, the incumbent will embody the NBA brand and champion talent acquisition efforts. This position requires a self-motivated, adaptable recruiter who manages end-to-end recruitment for challenging roles across both technical and non-technical functions. The recruiter will cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers, maintain exceptional candidate experiences, and consistently seek process improvements. The role involves working primarily from the New York office four days a week with a one-day remote work option.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full recruitment lifecycle across diverse departments including content, partnerships, media production, league operations, corporate functions, and technology.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders to design targeted recruitment strategies that attract promising candidates.
  • Build and nurture high-quality talent pipelines and conduct thorough candidate assessments resulting in top referrals.
  • Oversee recruitment processes and talent pipelines using the NBA’s technology platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize internal recruitment data and external market insights to guide recruitment decisions and strategies.
  • Ensure recruitment procedures are efficient, rigorous, inclusive, compliant, and prioritize diversity and candidate experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, HR Consulting, and Legal teams.
  • Contribute recruiting best practices and innovative ideas to the Talent Acquisition team derived from extensive corporate recruitment experience.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in full lifecycle recruitment at a global organization.
  • Proven success leading recruitment across various levels and departments including media, corporate, operations, and technology functions.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and innovative sourcing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and ability to guide hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques.
  • Capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Experience leveraging data sources to inform recruitment strategies and provide business updates.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $4,300 to $4,800 bi-weekly. Eligible employees and their dependents may access company-sponsored benefits such as medical plans, short-term disability, mental health support, and sick leave. Benefit eligibility varies by position.
