About the Role

Our client, a prominent real estate developer in Abu Dhabi, is renowned for its extensive portfolio of large-scale residential, mixed-use, and master-planned projects that are influencing the future of the Emirate. They are expanding and require a Project Stakeholder Coordination Manager to oversee stakeholder engagement for several significant developments. This position is central to managing relationships with government bodies, utility companies, infrastructure entities, and internal teams to ensure seamless approvals, permits, and stakeholder requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Create and apply effective stakeholder management approaches for multiple development projects simultaneously.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key government agencies, regulatory bodies, and utility suppliers.
  • Oversee the process of securing permits, no-objection certificates, statutory submissions, and approvals essential across project phases.
  • Serve as the main liaison for external stakeholders, facilitating communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Development, Design, Infrastructure, Project Management, and Construction to ensure stakeholder needs are integrated into planning.
  • Track approval schedules, anticipate risks or delays, and apply mitigation measures as needed.
  • Organize and lead coordination meetings involving authorities, consultants, contractors, and utility providers.
  • Monitor stakeholder commitments, action points, and project interactions to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Support infrastructure coordination, including utility hookups and authority inspections through to project completion.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Abu Dhabi’s regulatory and authority requirements.
  • Provide senior management with regular updates on stakeholder engagement, approval progress, and project risks.
  • Assist with the final handover of developments by managing final authority approvals and clearances.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 8 to 12 years experience in stakeholder management, project coordination, or development management within the UAE.
  • Prior experience working with real estate developers, engineering consultancies, or infrastructure organisations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Abu Dhabi’s development approval procedures and regulatory framework.
  • Experience collaborating with authorities including Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Regulation and Enforcement Corporation (ADREC), and similar bodies.
