About the Role

The Project Control Officer (PCO) plays a crucial role in facilitating successful project and program execution within the Enterprise Delivery Office by overseeing planning, controlling, and monitoring activities. The position focuses on core project control functions such as integrated scheduling, financial oversight, risk and issue management, change control, and governance support, collaborating well with Delivery Managers, Program Managers, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency, predictability, and compliance with governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep integrated project schedules, milestones, and dependencies up to date for assigned projects or programs.
  • Monitor and report on delivery metrics including timeline, budget, scope, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Maintain accurate logs including RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), change, decision, and action item logs.
  • Produce executive-level status reports, dashboards, and documentation for governance and leadership review.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting cycles ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Assist in financial management tasks such as budget tracking, forecasting, accruals, actual spending, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Finance to uphold financial control, ensure data accuracy, and facilitate timely reporting.
  • Support vendor invoice validation, cost allocation, and financial tracking tasks.
  • Identify financial risks, trends, and anomalies, communicating these appropriately.
  • Prepare and support integrated planning across multiple workstreams and delivery partners.
  • Help identify, track, escalate, and report project risks and issues, outlining their potential impacts and mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and documentation of changes in scope, schedule, budget, and priorities.
  • Manage dependencies effectively among internal and external teams.
  • Prepare materials and track decisions and actions for governance forums at senior leadership levels.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise delivery frameworks and audit requirements.
  • Support delivery assurance processes including internal reviews, audits, and regulatory requests.
  • Maintain thorough and audit-ready project documentation per organizational standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Program Managers, Technology teams, Business stakeholders, Risk, and Finance.
  • Aggregate inputs from various teams to deliver timely and consistent reporting.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance delivery culture in line with organizational values and code of conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or closely related discipline.
  • Between three to five years of experience in project controls, PMO, project coordination, or delivery support environments.
  • Prior experience supporting business or technology projects within a structured delivery framework.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with enterprise delivery frameworks and governance practices.
  • Certifications like CAPM or PMP are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced settings with multiple competing priorities.
