About the Role and Organisation

The START Centre serves as a national facility dedicated to developing and mitigating risks in commercializing innovative separation and filtration technologies. It bridges the gap between laboratory research at local and international institutes and market adoption by focusing on technology scale-up, piloting, and translation efforts. The Centre collaborates with top Institutes of Higher Learning and industry partners to drive commercialisation forward. Industry projects constitute a significant and growing part of START’s portfolio.
From October 1, 2026 (RIE 2030), START Centre will be the host of SG MEM, the Singapore Membrane Consortium. SG MEM is a national industry-oriented organization comprising 30 paying industrial members, along with experts from translational centers and academic institutions. It acts as an umbrella body facilitating collaboration between industrial players, translational centers, and academia.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
