About the Role
Riwe Technologies is looking for dedicated Programs and Field Operatives to enhance our field operations and accelerate the adoption of Riwe's products and services throughout Kaduna and Kano States. The role is full-time and based on-site, requiring direct interaction with farmers, agents, cooperatives, community leaders, and partners to effectively expand Riwe’s presence and implement our programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and provide training and ongoing support to field agents within designated communities.
- Set performance and activity goals for agents and monitor their compliance and productivity.
- Promote the use of Riwe’s diverse digital products and channels such as payments, insurance, commodity trading, credit, agricultural inputs, climate information, USSD, WhatsApp, among others.
- Identify and integrate farmers, traders, cooperatives, and aggregators as active participants in the agricultural value chain.
- Organize and coordinate field programs, community activations, marketing campaigns, and farmer engagement initiatives.
- Conduct field visits including farm inspections, GPS mapping, verification, data gathering, and assessments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, farmer groups, local authorities, market associations, and program partners.
- Support farmers and agents in navigating and utilizing Riwe’s products effectively.
- Arrange community meetings, product demonstrations, educational sessions, surveys, and market promotional activities.
- Identify potential opportunities for commodity aggregation, trading, and partnerships in assigned areas.
- Keep detailed records of agents, farmers, transactions, attendance, and other field activities alongside supporting documentation.
- Monitor product uptake, agent performance, transaction volumes, and other assigned targets.
- Provide regular, clear, and timely reports, updates, and suggestions to management.
- Serve as a professional representative of Riwe within assigned communities.
- Travel frequently within the assigned state and occasionally to nearby locations.
Qualification and Requirements
- Minimum HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Development Studies, Sociology, Community Development, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
- Experience in field operations, agent recruitment, sales, community mobilization, farmer engagement, data collection, financial services, or agricultural projects.
- In-depth understanding of farming communities, local markets, and agricultural landscapes in Kaduna or Kano State.
- Strong communication, sales, organizational, and relationship management capabilities.
- Proficiency in recruiting and managing agents, achieving adoption goals, and increasing transaction volumes.
- Ability to work independently and produce accurate, timely field reports.
- Comfortable using smartphones, digital forms, GPS technology, WhatsApp, USSD, and basic office software.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Hausa languages.
- Willingness to spend considerable time in the field with frequent travel within the state.
- Preference given to candidates who currently reside in Kaduna or Kano State.
