Role overview
The Program Coordinator, Strategic Fleet Initiatives supports the Flight Training team and reports to the Manager of Flight Operations Publications. In this position, you will help advance strategic fleet work that improves safety, operational performance, innovation, and process efficiency within Flight Operations. The role involves coordinating projects from kickoff through stakeholder alignment, implementation, and final completion while working with teams across the organization to meet business goals.
What you'll do
- Assist with strategic fleet projects within the portfolio and help move work forward under the guidance of the Manager of Flight Operations Publications.
- Coordinate engagement with internal stakeholders and partners across departments.
- Support project delivery through planning, milestone management, risk spotting, and resource coordination.
- Work with internal groups and external partners such as Fleet Technical Managers and Technical Writers to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools used by the team.
- Prepare project updates for stakeholders and leadership, and support portfolio reporting by providing detailed input.
- Help run project meetings by documenting decisions, action items, next steps, and follow-up tasks.
- Assist with project planning, progress tracking, status reporting, and schedule updates.
- Coordinate tasks across team members and monitor deadlines to surface delays, risks, or blockers early.
- Keep project files, documentation, and communication records organized and easy for the team to access.
What you need
- Working knowledge of project management software and standard office productivity tools.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders, build alignment, and communicate clearly.
- Capability in planning projects, maintaining schedules, and resolving issues.
- Well-developed organization and time management skills, including the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective communication and project coordination skills.
- Comfort working with a diverse range of people, perspectives, and working styles.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent credential.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Commitment to protecting safety, security, and personal data.
Preferred background
- Experience leading complex projects in a large technical or operational environment.
- Solid experience in project management and process improvement.
- Prior exposure to Flight Training and Standards work is strongly preferred.
