Job Overview
This role supports domestic violence programs through various administrative duties, ensuring smooth operations aligned with organizational and funding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administrative tasks including monitoring and organizing client documentation.
- Welcome clients and visitors, record their arrival, and direct them appropriately.
- Provide clerical support such as handling payroll information, scheduling, and generating reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures, funding source protocols, HIPAA, and confidentiality standards.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Director of Homeless Programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably supporting abused families or women with specialized needs.
- Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Highly organized with close attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity toward vulnerable populations including homeless families, LGBTQ+ individuals, elderly persons, and those affected by substance abuse or mental health concerns.
- Familiarity with Department of Homeless Services (DHS) regulations is advantageous but not mandatory.
