About the Role
We seek a meticulous and forward-thinking Production Planning and Vendor Management Manager to oversee production activities, manage vendor relationships, and guarantee the timely fulfillment of customer orders. The role involves scheduling production, vendor allocation, monitoring orders, coordinating materials, and providing daily production updates to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production timetables aligned with customer demand, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Create, update, and manage production plans on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
- Supervise day-to-day production progress to meet preset targets.
- Engage with vendors and subcontractors to ensure prompt completion of tasks.
- Distribute order quantities among vendors based on their capacities and capabilities.
- Ensure timely provision of fabrics, trims, accessories, and other required materials.
- Monitor the status of orders from production to dispatch, addressing any delays proactively.
- Identify production constraints and collaborate with teams and vendors to resolve issues.
- Maintain comprehensive records of production data, vendor performance, and order tracking.
- Prepare and disseminate Daily Production Reports and vendor updates to management.
- Coordinate closely with sourcing, merchandising, quality control, and warehouse departments for seamless production flow.
- Evaluate vendor performance regarding quality, timeliness, and capacity utilization.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at boosting production efficiency and minimizing lead times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile, Apparel, Fashion Technology, Production Management or a related discipline.
- 4 to 8 years of professional experience in production planning, vendor coordination, or garment/apparel manufacturing sectors.
- Prior experience collaborating with subcontractors and external manufacturing partners is advantageous.
