Job Overview

As a Production Technician at MAPAL Dr. Kress SE & Co. KG, you will conduct thorough quality inspections of incoming and coated cutting tools using microscopes to detect defects and ensure adherence to quality standards. You will document inspection outcomes precisely and coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues and enhance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quality checks of cutting tools to identify defects under a microscope.
  • Accurately record and report inspection findings.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering departments to address any quality concerns and improve workflows.
  • Operate supporting equipment for post-processing diamond-coated products to enhance their functionality and appearance.
  • Keep the workplace clean and safe according to lab standards.
  • Assist in logistics tasks such as inventory management, shipment preparation, and goods receiving.
  • Maintain comprehensive records relating to quality inspections, tool status, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Use and upkeep quality inspection instruments and microscopes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Comply with established quality assurance and safety protocols.
  • Support additional duties as needed to aid production and logistics operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is advantageous.
  • Preferred: Over three years of experience in quality assurance, tool inspection, or related fields.
  • Capable of spending extended time working under a microscope with great precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle logistics responsibilities such as inventory tracking and shipment readiness.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and tool usage is a plus.
