Role Overview

The Production Technician plays a crucial hands-on role in assembling, wiring, testing, and refining Kwetta’s EV charging systems. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently at pace, and an eagerness to collaborate within a team committed to high standards and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire EV charging hardware components following precise manufacturing standards.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshoot systems to ensure top product quality.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance manufacturing processes and output.
  • Collaborate actively with team members to effectively address and solve production challenges.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Practical skills and confidence in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Desirable backgrounds include auto electrical experience, recent electrician qualification, at least two years in electrical assembly/manufacturing, or being an EWRB registered 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice (with support to finish qualification).
  • Strong pride in the quality and precision of hands-on work.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to identify and help resolve issues.
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding, fast-paced environments where adaptability is essential.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for electrical technologies, EV infrastructure, and contributing to the clean energy transition.
  • Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
