Role Overview
We are looking for a committed and energetic Production Team Leader to oversee day-to-day activities in our chilled production line during the dayshift. You will lead your team to meet production goals while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily chilled production line operations.
- Lead, guide, and encourage a team of operatives to meet production objectives focusing on quality and safety.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and foster a secure working environment.
- Establish and uphold quality control procedures to maintain product excellence.
- Work with management to review production data and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Organize training initiatives to enhance team skills and performance.
- Serve as the main communication link between the production team and management.
- Typical working hours are 39 per week, usually between 06:00 and 14:30 or similar day shifts.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience supervising in a chilled production or food manufacturing context.
- Comprehensive knowledge of production workflows, quality assurance, and food safety compliance.
- Strong leadership abilities with proven team motivation and development skills.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a forward-thinking attitude toward operational challenges.
- Good communication skills to ensure effective collaboration within the team and management.
- Adaptability and commitment to maintaining high production standards.
