Role overview
The Production Team Leader will steer day-to-day production work to keep operations running smoothly, production plans on track, and quality and safety benchmarks consistently met. This position is centered on guiding the production workforce, making effective use of resources, reviewing output performance, and ensuring targets are achieved without compromising efficiency or compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate flour or feed production and packing schedules in line with demand, plant capacity, and scheduled maintenance work.
- Work closely with Production Supervisors and the Maintenance team to organize maintenance and capital improvement tasks while limiting interruptions to output.
- Track line performance to confirm that quality, productivity, and efficiency targets are being reached.
- Contribute to productivity and efficiency improvements through cost-saving efforts and process enhancement initiatives.
- Keep the plant aligned with GMP and 5S standards throughout milling and production operations.
- Protect employee wellbeing and product quality across the full production cycle, while coordinating with the Quality team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in production operations in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior FMCG manufacturing exposure is preferred, especially in flour or feed production.
- Working knowledge of production and maintenance workflows.
- Familiarity with quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Effective communication, coordination, and people leadership abilities.
