Role overview
An established and respected consumer brand with a long history and an expanding global footprint is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor / Team Lead to join its Operations function in County Waterford. This is a shift-based opportunity in a busy food manufacturing setting, with a strong focus on people leadership, maintaining high standards, and delivering measurable operational results.
What the role involves
- Oversee daily production work so planned output, quality expectations, and operational KPIs are met.
- Organise labour, production flow, and shift scheduling to keep operations running efficiently and reduce downtime.
- Spot and drive improvements that raise productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and wider continuous improvement activity while encouraging strong team involvement.
- Make sure food safety, product quality, hygiene, allergen controls, GMP, and health and safety standards are consistently followed.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management position within a medium to large manufacturing environment.
- Proven practical leadership experience in a unionised manufacturing setting.
- Experience delivering operational improvements and supporting continuous improvement programmes.
- Well-developed communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing would be an advantage.
