Job description

Role overview

This position is for an experienced and highly detail-focused Production Scheduler to support a manufacturing operation in Broughton, Chester. The role sits within a fast-paced team and is focused on helping ensure aircraft part commodities are delivered on time, efficiently, and in line with build, cost, and delivery objectives.

Contract details

This is a 12-month contract assignment, with a chance of being extended. The working pattern is 35 hours per week. Pay is offered at an hourly rate through either Umbrella or PAYE.

Key responsibilities

  • Help coordinate the delivery of aircraft part commodities so build plans are met and cost and schedule targets are achieved.
  • Work across multiple functions on initiatives that improve business performance and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
  • Support operational business areas so financial man-hours-per-set targets can be delivered.
  • Monitor changes in production rate, respond quickly, and manage associated risks and opportunities.
  • Back operational and functional deliverables while adapting promptly to production changes.
  • Ensure the Airbus Operating System is implemented effectively in all relevant areas.
  • Maintain a strong working link with Airbus Procurement to reduce supplier performance risk.
  • Keep close coordination with the Airbus Logistics Service Provider to ensure compliance with logistics processes.

Required skills and experience

  • Advanced Google Sheets capability, including macros and data handling.
  • Strong organisational ability and a structured, results-oriented approach.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to create practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Previous SAP Planning and Logistics experience is preferred.
