Job description

About the Company

ofi North America is part of a worldwide ingredients business focused on food and beverage. The company works closely with farming communities and customers to deliver traceable, reliable, and high-quality ingredients across cocoa, coffee, dairy, nuts, and spices. Its approach combines scale with product value-add, helping manufacturers create foods and beverages that respond to changing consumer preferences.

Role Overview

This entry-level position reports to the Sanitation/Shift Lead or Shift Supervisor and is responsible for carrying out sanitation work across the plant.

Key Duties

  • Clean plant areas that cannot be fully cleaned during normal production hours.
  • Use water and chemicals only when the Shelling Plant Shift Lead has given direction and approval; during production, only dry-cleaning methods are permitted.
  • Follow preventive control procedures carefully when cleaning surfaces that touch product, including elevator buckets and conveyor surfaces, and never apply chemicals to food-contact areas.
  • Follow all SDS guidance and label directions for cleaning products.
  • Use only plastic scrapers on food-contact surfaces.
  • Empty mop buckets once mopping is finished.
  • Track cleaning supplies and report any missing, unlabeled, or improperly used materials to the Shelling Plant Shift Lead.
  • Work safely, follow company safety rules, and immediately report hazards or unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager or Safety Coordinator.
  • Observe all GMP, preventive control, occupational safety, and PPE requirements.
  • Inform supervisors about any issue that could affect safe food manufacturing practices or preventive control compliance.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good physical coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Availability to work shifts, including early mornings, late hours, weekends, and overtime when needed.
  • This is an on-site role in a peanut-processing facility where peanuts and related allergens are regularly present in the air and through contact; reasonable accommodation may be available for qualified candidates.
