Job description

About the company

Dexcom is a global medical technology company focused on continuous glucose monitoring, with a long track record of innovation in diabetes care. Over the years, the business has expanded its mission to support broader health improvements through personalised, actionable insights. Its culture is built around integrity, dependability, customer focus, and ambitious thinking.

Role overview

In this Manufacturing Associate 2 position, you will support the production of CGM products in a cleanroom setting. The job involves working with semi-automated and fully automated equipment in a high-volume environment where quality, safety, and compliance are essential. This opportunity is suited to candidates with experience in medical device or other regulated manufacturing settings who are comfortable with detailed, hands-on work.

Shift pattern

The role follows 12-hour shifts on a rotating 4-on/3-off and 3-on/4-off schedule. Working days are Monday to Wednesday plus alternate Thursdays. The planned start date is August 2026.

Key duties

  • Run and keep an eye on semi-automated and automated production machinery.
  • Complete manual support tasks such as handling components, feeding materials, and assisting with assembly steps.
  • Carry out accurate, dexterity-based assembly work while maintaining steady throughput.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks during production.
  • Handle packaging, labelling, movement of materials, and any required data entry.
  • Work in line with GMP requirements, SOPs, batch records, and cleanroom standards, while keeping documentation correct and complete.
  • Escalate defects, deviations, or safety issues promptly and help support output and yield goals.
  • Coordinate closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure effective communication and smooth shift transitions.
  • Contribute to a workplace culture centred on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Reach required competency levels within training timelines and consistently meet performance and quality targets.
  • Show dependability, precision, and consistent adherence to standard operating methods.

Candidate profile

The ideal applicant will have a Leaving Certificate or Level 5 equivalent, along with more than 2 years of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing. You should be comfortable following structured procedures, performing repetitive manual tasks, and working accurately under pressure. A good level of computer literacy, mechanical aptitude, teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication skills are also important.

Requirements

  • Strong manual dexterity and careful attention to detail are essential.
  • You must have the right to work in Ireland.
  • Punctuality and efficient task completion are required.

Benefits and development

  • Opportunity to work closely with life-changing CGM technology.
  • Access to a complete benefits package.
  • Career growth opportunities within a global organisation.
  • Training and development through internal learning programmes and eligible tuition reimbursement.
  • Chance to join an innovative, industry-leading employer with a strong commitment to employees, customers, and communities.
