Role overview

We are seeking a mechanical production professional to lead the shop floor for a growing OEM that manufactures crushing and screening equipment in Aravalli, Gujarat. This position is hands-on and highly specialized, requiring deep familiarity with the structure, assembly, and quality standards of heavy-duty crushing machines.

Who this role is meant for

This opportunity is intended for candidates with direct experience in heavy equipment OEM environments, especially those involved in assembly, fit-up, or quality assurance for jaw crushers, cone crushers, VSI crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, or heavy conveyors. Candidates from automobile, electronics, pharma, textile, and software backgrounds will not be considered. Likewise, plant maintenance engineers from cement plants or mines without OEM manufacturing or assembly exposure are not a fit for this role.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will oversee assembly and fit-up activities for crushing and screening equipment, maintain high precision in component alignment, and ensure correct installation of items such as eccentric shafts and bearings. The role also includes supervising heavy fabrication, reviewing engineering drawings, and checking dimensional accuracy against geometric tolerances. You will coordinate with machining teams, fabrication units, and vendors to keep production moving, investigate recurring bottlenecks or rework issues, and take prompt corrective action on the shop floor.

Documentation and reporting

Daily production records, stage-wise quality checkpoints, and basic shop-floor compliance tracking will be part of the job.

Qualification and technical expectations

Candidates should have a B.Tech, B.E., or diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering, along with at least 4 years of strong production or assembly experience in a crushing or screening OEM. A solid grasp of welding standards, machining clearances, hydraulic fitments, and high-tensile fastening is essential. The role is based in Aravalli, Gujarat, and applicants must be ready to work from the plant location.
