Role Overview
Valence Surface Technologies is hiring a Production Control professional in Eastman, GA. This role focuses on keeping production moving efficiently, aligning schedules with business goals, and supporting coordination across operations, customer service, and production leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day production control efforts so the team can meet business and financial targets.
- Review the dispatch queue and rank incoming orders by priority.
- Keep the production plan organized so sales flow remains steady across the workweek.
- Examine production plans to spot possible risks and escalate concerns when needed.
- Work with Production Management to plan overtime, organize production tasks and schedules, expedite work, and reduce lead times.
- Help managers control production expenses without compromising quality standards.
- Track standard lead times as well as internal and external delivery commitments.
- Coordinate closely with Customer Service to keep customer communication timely and accurate.
- Stay current on company goals, production strategies, and related support activities.
- Run production schedule meetings with the facility team to address overdue work, rework, expedited jobs, and similar priorities.
- Partner with department operators to resolve planning and control issues.
- Build and review the daily sales forecast.
- Discuss department approvals, restrictions, and bottlenecks with operators to improve scheduling and keep operations running smoothly.
- Collaborate with production managers to monitor labor costs against daily sales.
- Raise support needs from production and other site leaders as appropriate.
- Handle the contract review process and associated personnel coordination.
- Take on additional related responsibilities as assigned.
Experience Required
At least 2 years of manufacturing experience is required.
Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
