Product & Technology Expert - Trade Finance (Corporate Banking)

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Product & Technology Expert specializing in Trade Finance within the Corporate Banking sector. This role requires bridging business and technical teams to drive enhancements in Trade Finance products, facilitate digital transformation initiatives, and manage implementation across related systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Trade Finance solutions, providing guidance on product and technical matters.
• Work closely with Corporate Banking stakeholders to collect, analyze, and validate business requirements.
• Convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT teams.
• Support the deployment, improvement, configuration, and fine-tuning of Trade Finance systems.
• Collaborate with Development, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations to deliver effective business solutions.
• Lead initiatives aimed at product enhancements and digital transformation efforts.
• Engage in solution design, user acceptance testing, production support, incident diagnosis, and defect resolution.
• Analyze existing business workflows to identify opportunities for system improvements and automation.
• Assist with integrating Trade Finance systems with SWIFT and other banking platforms.
• Ensure compliance with international Trade Finance standards and banking regulations throughout implementations.
• Offer functional expertise and consultative support during system rollouts and upgrades.

Experience & Skills Required

• At least 7 years of experience in Trade Finance within Corporate Banking.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Trade Finance products including Letters of Credit (LCs), Letters of Guarantee (LGs), Documentary Collections, Import & Export Trade Finance, and Document Checking/Examination.
• Strong grasp of Trade Finance operational processes and workflows.
• Experience with SWIFT MT7xx messaging standards and international trade processing.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively between business and technology teams.
• Hands-on involvement with Trade Finance product implementation, configuration, or support roles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Familiarity with one or more Trade Finance platforms such as Finastra Fusion Trade Innovation, Surecomp (DOKA), China Systems, Eximbills, or equivalent Trade Finance Management solutions.
• Experience with banking integration solutions and APIs.
• Participation in digital Trade Finance transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline.
• Experience supporting Corporate Banking digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of international Trade Finance guidelines including UCP 600, URDG 758, ISBP, and ICC Trade Finance Rules.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams.
