Role Overview
As a Product Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering educators by guiding them through their learning journey. Your responsibility involves converting warm leads into confirmed enrollments by conducting consultative, value-focused sales engagements. This position is advisory in nature, requiring you to act as a trusted consultant helping prospective learners make informed decisions about their career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in consultative sales conversations to understand teacher goals and recommend appropriate Suraasa programs.
- Convert inbound and marketing-generated leads into paid enrollments through empathetic and persuasive communication.
- Manage the sales funnel end-to-end, ensuring timely follow-ups and quality interactions from initial contact to closure.
- Collaborate effectively with Marketing and Pre-Sales teams to ensure seamless lead handovers and nurturing.
- Maintain accurate sales records and ensure CRM system hygiene for reliable forecasting and performance assessment.
- Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
- Refine sales strategies, including messaging and handling objections, based on ongoing feedback and insights.
- Provide valuable input to improve overall sales processes and campaign effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements
- Exceptional spoken and written English, with confident communication skills suitable for calls, video conferences, emails, and instant messaging.
- Strong intellectual capacity to grasp Suraasa’s offerings, learner needs, and effectively convey the value proposition.
- Confident and articulate in sharing personal experiences and ideas.
- Emotional resilience to handle pressure and objections calmly during sales interactions.
- Ability to logically organize information and craft compelling narratives tailored to learner motivations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly, including mastering sales tools, processes, and product knowledge.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in consultative or inside sales, or customer success roles, preferably within EdTech, B2C education, or career advisory contexts.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar tools, and experience managing structured sales pipelines.
